Terms of Use

By using CaliTimer, you agree to these terms.
What CaliTimer is
CaliTimer is a tool that uses your phone's camera and on-device pose estimation to detect and time static calisthenics skills. It is not a coach, not a medical device, and not a substitute for professional training advice.
Use at your own risk
Handstand and other static calisthenics training involves a real risk of injury, including but not limited to falls, wrist strain, and head injury. You are responsible for:
- Choosing a safe environment to train in.
- Warming up appropriately.
- Knowing your physical limits.
- Bailing out safely.
CaliTimer measures what it sees through the camera. It does not assess whether what you're doing is safe. We are not liable for injuries sustained while using the app or while training generally.
Pose detection accuracy
CaliTimer uses Apple's Vision framework
(VNDetectHumanBodyPoseRequest) to estimate your body
position from the live camera feed. Timing depends on
environmental conditions — lighting, framing, occlusion, clothing,
and camera angle all affect detection reliability — and on the
inherent limits of on-device 2D pose estimation. No
guarantee of 100% detection accuracy is made. Detection
failures are not a defect of the app; they are a known property of
the underlying technology.
For technical detail, see Apple's guide on detecting human body poses in images.
Acceptable use
Don't use CaliTimer to record other people without their knowledge and consent. Don't reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise tamper with the app. Don't use the app to break any law.
No warranty
CaliTimer is provided "as is." We don't promise that detection will be accurate in every situation, that the app will work on every device configuration, or that it will be available without interruption.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to injury, lost data, or lost time.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
